So I managed to get back to my safari mini album today and I've been having a lot of fun pulling it together even though it isn't going as fast as I'd like. I also had to stop and put together the presentation for my OB/HR class that's due tomorrow night but that only took about two hours (whew!).
Anyway, I'm only part way through the album, but it's going to be fairly long so it's probably a good thing to break it into parts :)
Here's the cover - I used a Fancy Pants mixed media mini album that I've had in my stash for a while.
And the first set of pages - I'm using quite a bit of the Basic Grey Origins line, which I totally love. Also lots of goodies from my stash which is always a bonus.
And the next set... the "Stuck" page is one of my favorites... it's one of the chipboard album pages and I painted it with Tea Dye crackle paint and then stamped the woodgrain background over top and spritzed it with Glimmer Mist to make it look a bit aged. With the paper and rubons, it came out pretty cool!
I need to re-shoot that last layout in better light, but you get the idea :)
This is fun - I'm really enjoying reliving our safari and I wish I could go back! It was such an amazing adventure and I'm super grateful that I had the opportunity to do it.
And now... sigh... time to go back to the real world. I'm not quite ready to go back to work and school tomorrow, but I'm sure I'll get back in the groove soon enough. I've sure enjoyed having a few days to just sleep and relax, though! I can't wait for my next vacation :)
fabulous album. love the sunrise photo on the cover.

That is so cool!!! I love the pages. Brent went on his mission to South Africa and has similar pics. What a beautiful album!
