Yes... I actually did a real, paper, non-project life, non-digital layout! I think it's been about a month. Unfortunately, this time of year is one when I just don't enjoy going up into the scrap attic. I even had the maintenance guys come look at the vent since so little of the A/C makes it into the room, but no luck. They tried to help me adjust the other vents to force more air up, and I put a fan in front of it to try and grab the cool air and blow it out, but it doesn't help much. You'd think that evenings would be great up here after the sun goes down, but it seems like the heat stays until late at night and then it's cool through the morning and heats up again in early afternoon. Argh. Oh well... after 5 years I should be used to it, right?
Anyway, Erin sent me this conversation a while ago, and I knew I wanted to make a layout from it. It was just too funny, and I knew I had a picture that would go with it.
I typed up the conversation and then printed out a photo I took of one of our Skype sessions. We've done quite a few recently with birthdays and holidays.
I used pieces from the May and June Studio Calico kits (mostly June). They seemed like a good fit.
I also printed out a few digital elements from a kit called "Dialogue" that I got a while ago at OScraps. It's super cute and fit great with this.
I used some Tattered Angels Mint Chocolate Chip chalkboard spray on the mistable butterflies and the leftover piece of Heidi Swapp Color Magic file folder I tucked in there. It worked really well!
That's it... just a fun little moment that I wanted to capture.
And this day has seriously flown by! I've been pretty busy, I guess. And now it's time to get some food and get ready for tonight's episode of Masterchef. I've also gotten into Bunheads on ABC Family - one of the few non-food shows I'm watching right now. lol.
Next up... last week's Project Life layout.
Nice!! I'm watching Bunheads too :-) Just saw the 3rd episode !

Love this layout Gwen! So colorful (bold and bright) and full of layers and little details.
Man, it sure makes it hard to scrap in a non-air conditioned art room! That is a bummer, and I couldn't do it. :) The heat seems to suck the life right out of you. :)
I love master chef! Hard to say who will take it this year huh.

Thanks! And yeah, the heat is a bummer. I'm dreaming of an air conditioned craft room! Someday...
And I'm pulling for Christine on Masterchef, but who knows. It's tough to say. I was just glad they finally kicked Tali off this week!
